He was born in 1946, and was transferred towork in Yuchai after graduation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. InSeptember 1975, he joined the Communist Party of China. From February 1985, heacted as the factory director of Yuchai. From July 1992 to June 2005, he actedas chairman of the Board of Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group Co., Ltd and GuangxiYuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. From February 2004, he acted concurrently as thevice chairman of China Federation of Machinery Industry. From February 2006 toNovember 2008, he acted as chairman of the Board of Directors and CCP Partysecretary of Jiangsu Yangdong Co., Ltd. From June 20, 2009, he acted as asenior adviser for China Hengtian Group. From August 2010 to September 2014, heacted as the chairman of Hengtian Power Co., Ltd as a concurrent position.Since January 2015, he has been acting as the chairman of the Board of SuzhouGaomai New Energy Co., Ltd.
✧He led Yuchai to allowthe annual sale of Yuchai engines to increase 1000 sets to 20500 sets, and withthe sales income increasing from RAMB10 million to RMB13.7 billion with anannual average growth of 82% over the past twenty years；
